In a pair of posts on X, David Sacks argued that a Chinese model called Kimi K3 taking the top spot on Frontend Code Arena shows how quickly foreign AI systems can close the gap, and that U.S. efforts to restrict data centers or add new approval layers could leave America behind. In a follow-up post on X, he said he had predicted Chinese models would gain advanced cyber capabilities and argued that "trying to gatekeep models doesn't work."
