Hermes Agent Kanban adds automated task decomposition and profile assignment
Teknium, co-founder and lead engineer at Nous Research, announced that Hermes Agent Kanban now supports automated task decomposition. Users place a single prompt in the triage column and an orchestrator agent breaks it into subtasks then routes each to a matching agent profile. The changes appear in Pull Request #27572 on the NousResearch/hermes-agent repository. The board remains a durable SQLite-backed work queue at ~/.hermes/kanban.db with columns for triage, to-do, ready, in-progress, blocked, and done. Robert Scoble quote-tweeted the post.

Drop one prompt into the triage, and the orchestrator agent can take it from there - decomposing it into all the subtasks necessary and automatically assigning agent profiles that fit the specialization needed.
You can also now add descriptions for each agent profile, to better assist the orchestrator in determining what tasks should go to which profile!
