    TLDR

Independent writer Andy Masley posted that humans do not maintain internal coherent world models. He observed that people often cannot name the positions of specific keys on a QWERTY keyboard when asked. Yet those same people can locate each letter correctly by placing their hands on a surface and miming typing. Masley presents the contrast as evidence that human knowledge is procedural rather than stored as complete mental representations. The post stands alone in the packet with no replies or additional context provided.

@AndyMasleyHumans don't actually have internal coherent world models. You might not be able to say where lots of specific keys on a QWERTY keyboard are if asked, but if you put your hands down on the table and mime typing words you can figure out where each individual letter is easily. This is evidence that humans are just doing complex pattern recognition that doesn't transfer to other domains and we should stop anthropomorphizing them.
