Meta and Microsoft reportedly scale back employee Claude use

The Information reports that Microsoft reduced a projected $1 billion internal Claude budget by more than one-third and Meta’s Claude Code users fell from roughly 60,000 to 30,000. Amir Efrati, the publication’s executive editor, described both companies as major Anthropic customers making progress in cutting their Claude bills.
