Figma plans a Design Agent to work with users on its canvas

Figma VP Marcel Weekes said the company plans to launch Figma Design Agent, which would work with users on its canvas like another participant in its multiplayer design tool. He said AI is giving more people design capabilities, making new ideas more important for differentiation. A separate post argues that people will need human-readable ways to audit agents and that most important interfaces will still be intentionally designed.
