    TLDR

a16z General Partner Martín Casado posted that recent AI models show clear gains in computer use but coding appears saturated for the work he does, adding it may be a skill issue. In a follow-up post he suspects the market sees no economic sense in advancing models for high-skilled development tasks. Emad Mostaque replied that the percent of developers better than models is dropping fast. Replies on X split between agreement on diminishing returns and reports of one-shot successes on complex tasks.

@martin_casadoThe new models are amazing. But it seems coding has saturated? There is clearly a meaningful step in computer use. But I don’t notice a meaningful step in coding for the work I’m doing. Maybe skill issue :)
@EMostaque@martin_casado I mean what percent of devs are better than the models now It’s dropping fast and you don’t need that much for a react app
