TLDR
Character.AI announced two free Chat Styles on September 28, 2026: ShortSqueak for short replies and quick banter, and PipSqueak 3, which it says offers smarter, more engaging roleplay with fewer formatting slip-ups. Both work with Lorebooks; c.ai+ members also get Style Control. Character.AI said c.ai+ and c.ai lite subscribers would get access first, followed by free users later that day, with both styles expected to reach everyone within a few days.
