Anthropic merges Cowork and chat, with Docs, Slides and Design in paid beta

Anthropic says chat and Cowork are now one Claude. A September 17 post sharing the announcement describes Claude Docs, Slides and Design as paid-plan betas for creating documents, presentations and visuals in the same conversation. That post says the merged experience was rolling out to Pro and Max on web, desktop and mobile over the following weeks, with Team and Free to follow later. It also says Enterprise admins would get at least 30 days’ notice before changes.
