arXiv holds the preprint “AgentOdyssey: Open-Ended Long-Horizon Text Game Generation for Test-Time Continual Learning Agents” under moderation for more than a month
Extended hold delayed the associated project release.
@DanielKhashabi @arxiv Sadly I think it is increasingly normal.
We have a draft that has been waiting for @arxiv approval for over a month to appear on their index. Is this normal? Others had similar experiences? What can we do to facilitate this process?

Hi @arxiv, our preprint “AgentOdyssey: Open-Ended Long-Horizon Text Game Generation for Test-Time Continual Learning Agents” (submit/7492499) has been on hold for over a month, which is unusual. I have contacted support multiple times, but the reply is pretty generic and just tells me to keep waiting. However, this is significantly affecting our project release, and I would like to know what caused the month-long hold so I can avoid it in the future, as well as how much longer I need to wait for a moderation decision. I also suggest ArXiv displaying the queue and a more detailed explanation of why it is being held to make the decision-making process more transparent.
CCing @tdietterich if you happen to have any insights.
