TLDR

A reader praises a passage from 'The Electric Stack' and notes they added some wording to the quotation. It contrasts hopes that digital technology will solve big problems with the difficulty of rebuilding the interconnected physical technologies needed to bring intelligence into the physical world—a stack the passage says China dominates.

J Henry Ault@JHCA1“It is easy to imagine that a magical digital technology we don’t quite understand but seem to be the best at will miraculously fix what ails us. It is harder to imagine how in the world we might rebuild, and improve upon, such an interconnected, physical stack of technologies (needed broadly to implement this intelligence into the physical world)…which China dominates.” Great line (with a little extra color from me) from The Electric Stack by @packyM & @sdamico — one of the best and most informative posts I’ve ever read. https://open.substack.com/pub/notboring/p/the-electric-slide?r=1o7n3&utm_medium=ios1h
