We build models so we have a good view on what AI can and can't do, but it doesn't always transfer to how this technology is impacting every job. That's the gap we're trying to close in this work 🔦
Positive users thank the co-authors of the Cohere report on AI job exposure scores for their evidence-focused work, while negative users criticize the exposure score focus for overlooking nuanced task-by-task AI labor impacts.
Great work from the Labs team on AI impact on Labour and ideas on how to better track the impact to workers.
We argue that the current way people are using only reveals what looks automatable under a given lens.
True impact should be a function of + dynamic measurements, resilience-focused governance, and the collective choice of which futures of work we actually want to build.
