Amazon reportedly scales back most Nova models and shifts resources to a frontier-model effort

Futurism, citing Bloomberg, reports Amazon put most Nova models on minimal support and shifted staff and computing power to a frontier-model effort led by Pieter Abbeel. Futurism, citing GeekWire, says Amazon closed an 80-person San Francisco AGI research office. A user corrected an earlier claim that Amazon was abandoning code-generation models, saying autocomplete was sunset in Kiro CLI but remains supported in Kiro IDE; Amazon may still train its own code-generation models.
