Arc browser to be sunset on December 22, 2026, as its team focuses on Dia

Arc says it will sunset its browser on December 22, 2026, and focus its engineering and security teams on Dia, citing the work required to keep browsers secure. It says passwords, bookmarks, extensions, history, Spaces, Folders and Tab Groups can be imported into Dia. The company says the browser features members use in Arc are free in Dia, with AI optional, and claims Dia surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed and security.
