    TLDR

Scott Belsky posted a query on whether users remain daily active users when they reach tools only through agents. The message notes rising agent methods that pull data and functions from a product without any direct visit to it. Belsky states this issue now circulates among product teams and frames the choice as to be or not to be a DAU. The post cuts off at the description of the digital product itself. No further details on responses or outcomes appear in the supplied lines.

@scottbelskyto be or not to be a DAU, that is the question. with the rise of agents/ways to leverage the data and functionality of a tool without leveraging the tool itself, there is a new question percolating product teams across the industry: if a user makes use of a tool daily via agents but never visits the actual digital product, are they in fact a “daily active user” or not? this question will plague many teams, but my answer is definitively YES. if a user engages with and gets value from an underlying service every day, they are a daily active user (DAU). Interfaces change, but the goal is to build indispensable resources for your customers.
