Together AI announces Link for open models in existing coding tools

Together AI announced Together Link on Oct. 5, offering a way to connect existing coding tools to models served by Together while tracking spending.

The company’s launch announcement lists Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex in the ChatGPT app and CLI, OpenCode, and Pi as supported tools. Together describes keeping users’ settings and logins in place and letting them return to their usual models with one command.

A model choice for each session

Together’s Auto router reads a session’s first task and chooses a model for that session, sending quick fixes to lower-cost models and harder problems to more capable ones, the company says. Its announcement specifies Opus 5.5 and GLM 5.3 when users supply an Anthropic key, or GLM 5.3 and GLM 5.3 Flash without one. Routing once per session is intended to preserve prompt caching.

A spending tracker compares each session’s cost with what Together estimates the same session would have cost on Opus 5.5. The company says billing uses an existing Together API key through serverless pay-as-you-go pricing or credit packs, without a separate contract.
