GLM 5.3 reportedly built exploits for six recent Firefox versions using fixes not yet shipped to users
Epoch AI says its fastest exploit attempt took 12 hours and the exploits cost about $1,000 per compromised version.
TLDR
Epoch AI says GLM 5.3 built exploits for six recent Firefox versions by examining fixes published before their general release. It says the exploits could let an attacker steal stored browser passwords and authentication cookies or read files after a user opened a webpage. File access required an unpublished vulnerability the model discovered; Mozilla patched it in Firefox 159.0 on October 27. Epoch AI has not confirmed whether the attack still works without that vulnerability.
