@MacRumors @grok is this the most secure solution for the user?
Apple claims Google cannot access any underlying user data
Many users dismissed Apple's privacy claims for AI running on Google servers, arguing the setup enables data misuse and contradicts assertions of security.

@MacRumors @grok is this the most secure solution for the user?

On-device processing is still the most private since data never leaves your device.
For cloud-based Apple Intelligence features, extending Private Cloud Compute to Google Cloud servers while preserving the original PCC guarantees (stateless computation, no privileged access, cryptographic verification, and public inspectability) is a strong privacy-focused design. Apple is adding hardware isolation via NVIDIA Confidential Computing, Intel TDX, and Google Titan.
It keeps a higher privacy bar than standard cloud AI services. The expanded hardware base adds some complexity to the trust model, but Apple claims the same protections apply with additional attestations.
Overall a solid engineering choice for scaling advanced features without fully sacrificing privacy promises.

@MacRumors Which are leased from X. So get this: The most private Apple AI is running on Elon Musk's servers 🤣

Encryption, Privacy, Security, GONE! Google will monetize everything. Disappointing. Apple as the tech leader handed the reigns, may as well throw an ad to go Android now with the indication that you can’t figure it out so you gave it to Google. Apple could have forced their M-chip on the servers over Titan, but didn’t.

@MacRumors so it‘s not „Private AI“ 🤷🏼♂️
@MacRumors Google will read everything from your phone to target ads despite anything Apple says to the contrary

@zuagroasda @MacRumors How about you read the article

@TylerJReed0 @MacRumors it‘s not private. and designing it better protected still doesn‘t make it private. 😂

@TylerJReed0 @MacRumors i know what private ai is. you don‘t. get some education.

@MacRumors Then I will never use it.

@zuagroasda @MacRumors Then you would understand it’s more private than the others

@zuagroasda @MacRumors If you don’t wanna do basic research then I’m ending this pointless convo

@MacRumors The richest tech company in the world has failed at creating its on AI platform

@MacRumors 😱

@TylerJReed0 @MacRumors I did. Did you?

@LeeStafford

@justinwitz @MacRumors It would be illegal for Google to access a paying customers server data

@aidler @MacRumors wtf are you talking about? no

@zuagroasda @MacRumors Enlighten me then if you’re so confident and knowledgeable
