The rider found the custom vehicle interesting but wasn't sure they'd prefer it to Waymo's conventional vehicles.

    TLDR

A rider called their first Zoox ride “fine” but said the lack of a proper windshield felt claustrophobic. They said free rides leave a San Francisco storefront for roughly 10 preset destinations; their trip took about 30 minutes versus about 20 by normal car. They described the vehicle as very cautious and said it avoided the freeway. In a later reply, they said it backed up about 100 feet to make room for a lane change after getting stuck behind traffic and a temporary road sign.

@binarybitsFirst Zoox ride! It is... fine. The custom vehicle is interesting but in the long run I'm not sure I'd prefer it to the conventional vehicles Waymo uses. The lack of a proper windshield makes it feel a bit claustrophobic.
