AI investor Matt Shumer wrote on X that an AI agent using GPT-5.6-Sol "accidentally deleted almost ALL" of the files on his Mac, then followed up to say OpenAI was looking into it and that he was testing Ultra mode at the team's request. In another post, Shumer said he had already stopped using 5.6 weeks earlier, preferred Fable, and considered this a "freak accident" despite the damage.
