Anthropic Raises Claude Code Weekly Limits 25 Percent

Matt Pocock called ClaudeDevs communications baffling after the team posted about rate limits. The message stated that starting September 14 standard weekly limits in Claude Code would rise permanently by 25 percent, with the current 50 percent increase staying in place until then. Victor Taelin said users had accepted the original temporary 50 percent bonus and that Anthropic later extended and partly made it permanent. Theo retweeted Pocock and later noted he wished a 50 percent cut tied to Fable had not remained after the changes.
