8 postsDay 10/10 (23 hours remaining): Jensen Jacket Charity Auction Momentum builds. $110,000 current bid. 33 bids. This man is a legend. Be a part of the second believer movement to support the next generation of young minds in finding their higher purpose.
In 1995 Nvidia failed to deliver the chip Sega paid for. Jensen Huang flew to Tokyo, admitted he picked the wrong architecture, and asked Sega to convert the $5M owed into equity. He told them the money would probably be lost. Sega said yes anyway. That $5M funded the RIVA 128. Yesterday Huang went back to the same Akihabara arcade to thank Irimajiri in person, 30 years later. Nvidia survives, goes public. Sega sells early. Held to today, that stake would be worth about $1 trillion.
Day 10/10 (4 hours left) Jensen Jacket Charity Auction Current bid: $140,000, 36 bids. The last 30 minutes of a live auction is where the magic happens. Last 10 min activity increases dramatically. Final 5 = bidding wars can manifest. All towards a great cause. Onwards.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang drew crowds in Tokyo after meeting the Japanese companies that power the global AI supply chain. He even stopped to hand out red bean cakes as fans gathered for a glimpse of him: http://bloom.bg/4vxyThy
The final number for the iconic Jensen Jacket went for $960,000. We are blown away and so deeply moved. All proceeds go towards funding the next generation of young minds to build the world they imagine (through grants and fellowships) at Edge City (of whom we are so proud to be a second believer). Thank you first and foremost to Jensen for his generosity and care. Thank you also to the Sotheby's team for working with us on this philanthropic initiative. Most importantly congratulations and thank you to the winner of this legendary jacket. We are excited to host you for a Denny's meal as well (at the restaurant where NVIDIA was founded). Onwards.
We emailed Jensen Huang to see if he would be interested in collaborating on a charity auction. He said YES! Jensen offered his black leather jacket (and signed it) to fund grants & fellowships for young builders to take risks and find their higher calling. We believe in the lore and magic that exists in the tech community. 50 hours left in the Jensen Jacket Auction. $80k, 27 bids at Sotheby's.
Jensen’s jacket sold. Great cause too.
We just raised $960,000 for the Inflection Fellowship and grants! All thanks to Jensen Huang's leather jacket, which sold at Sotheby's for 16x the estimate. Story below ⬇️
So thrilled to collaborate in turning the iconic artifacts and lore of the tech community into opportunity and access. Proceeds will enable the next generation of thinkers, builders, artists, and creators to design the society they want to live in.

How the hell did Jensen Huang, the godfather of AI and controller of the modern universe, have his leather jacket sell for less than $1 million?! He deserves better fan boys than that
