Im seriously confused.
Apparently Claude Mythos now appears in the Google Cloud console.
After all the official statements Anthropic has made about concerns that a Claude Mythos release would pose too great a risk, I simply cannot imagine them doing a complete about-face now.
On the contrary, that would make them look unprofessional. Moreover, numerous recent examples demonstrate that Claude Mythos is indeed an extremely strong model. Example:

@scaling01 hmmm seems more likely they first extend the list of companies in Project Glasswing. public release doesn't feel likely yet. I expect it in H2 though.

@scaling01 Interesting direction — if Mythos is a symbolic reasoning layer on top of Sonnet, that could fix Claude's known blind spots in planning and causality.

@scaling01 It's reckless. If I can hack a model the way I do more can. It's a nuke level intelligent system especially when optimized. Apple in 5 days. It will fucking shake the economy as it lays waste to all secure things. Bitcoin going down eventually

@theo Like the bad people needed mythos to make things worse, haven't you seen the many zero days lately in linux.
Imho we don't need smarter LLMs anymore to do bad things, Claude 4.6 or gpt 5.5 heck kimi2.6 even are more than enough with the right agent and the right pilot (human)
