Principia Benchmark Assesses Video Models on Physics

Anand Bhattad, assistant professor at JHU, posted that video models know less about high school physics than expected. The post describes work led by Varun Varmat and Shivam Tr with R V Babu from IISc. They created Principia, relational physics tests covering eight laws across more than 500 real scenes. The announcement includes an 87-second video that opens with split-screen comparison of real lab footage and states a simple idea behind the benchmark.
