Happy birthday to the greatest country yet.
Boom Supersonic's CEO marked a regulatory turning point with a hangar photo and 'Mission accomplished' caption, timed right after the FAA floated rules that could finally permit civil supersonic flights over land if sonic booms stay below a strict noise threshold already shown by the company's XB-1 demonstrator.

The proposed standard replaces the old blanket ban with a 0.11 pounds-per-square-foot limit at ground level, opening the door for faster point-to-point travel if the final version holds.
A follow-on rule on takeoff and landing noise is due later this year, with both expected finalized by mid-2027, but the exact timing and any last-minute changes remain open.
Many users praised Boom Supersonic's Overture jet design and CEO achievements with excitement about future flights, while others dismissed the project as vaporware.

@bscholl Uniqe style @grok which style dance is that? Here 👇 https://daady.link/1x67h7

@bscholl Amen brother! Let me know how I can help.

@bscholl It's not Scotland's birthday 🙋
Scotland, in many ways, invented the world.
America's current leaders are the stain and shame on the legacy of the country. Focus on getting that changed and then progress will be possible in a civil, responsible, world-centric, kind way.

@bscholl 👏🏼👏🏼

@bscholl How long till Boom can have this in production?

How much to be in the first cadre of test passengers? (I have 14 hours towards a private pilots license from when I was a teenager but I don't think you'll let me drive)
My dad (born in 1920) was a pilot. Started on B314s during the war. Ended with 747s in the late 70s (lead pilot on United Flight 1 for like a decade). He passed about 15 years ago and his biggest regret was not flying on the Concorde.
My mom was a flight attendant for 25 years. She also passed about 15 years ago. Her biggest regret was, shockingly, never flying on the Concorde.
I will not make the same mistake. Same goes for @elonmusk and his eventual rocket passenger service to the moon and beyond.

@bscholl Homeless. No state ID or driver's license. No food stamps. Cannot prove residency. Since I cannot take to Kansas a rental receipt or an utility statement, since I can't prove I'm paying into their land-based system of graft, I am no longer a citizen in the eyes of the law.

@bscholl Overture looks amazing with the red, white, and blue.

@bscholl Wow amazing 😍 Extraordinary wonderful jet 🤩 I always dream to be flying with a jet on the sky 🛫 Will it going to be happen one day 🤔🫶

@bscholl @boomsupersonic No, that would be the United Kingdom. Keep going though, you might get there.

@bscholl Yeah, if you want it you can buy it here. @grok that C with the Canadian maple leaf slapped in it is perfect can you generate a close-up version of just that letter with the flag?

@bscholl Good example of bad requirements. The issue was the noise, not the speed.
