Gaussian-splat VR demo pairs water effects and an aurora with generative audio

The creator says Quest WebGPU with VR is experimental, so splat sorting runs on slower WebGL.

TLDR

A developer shared an ambient drone scene with water effects and an aurora working in VR. They say the entire scene uses Gaussian splats and the audio is generative. Because Quest WebGPU with VR is experimental, they used slower WebGL for splat sorting, but described the frame rate as “not bad.”

martin_casado@martin_casadoAmbient drone with water effects and aurora now working in VR. Entire scene is Gaussian splats. Audio is generative. Unfortunately the Quest WebGPU w/ VR is experimental so the splat sort is done using WebGL (slower). Not bad FPS tho' Link in reply should work in any browser.1h
