    TLDR

Jason Lemkin posted data from ICONIQ Capital on headcount at SaaS firms. Companies growing more than 100 percent a year are adding 133 percent headcount annually. These firms continue increasing staff even as they invest the most in AI. Everyone else is growing headcount more slowly than revenue. The 50 to 100 percent growth group shows this pattern in particular. Lemkin frames the figures around the question of whether companies are now hiring fewer humans.

@jasonlkSo are folks really hiring less humans now? @ICONIQCapital has the latest data: - Folks growing > 100% a year are adding 133% headcount a year. They aren't cutting humans, even as they invest the most in AI Everyone else is ... growing headcount more slowly than revenue - Folks growing 50%-100% a year (still reasonably fast by pre-AI standards) are adding 25% headcount - Folks growing 25%-50% only adding 10% headcount - Folks growing < 25% a year aren't adding any headcount at all
