Your walkthrough is helpful but... I feel like I am missing something... You say: "(Optional fallback) An xAI API key only if you encounter tier restrictions on OAuth" but it seems like it's not optional.

FWIW, I have a Grok Heavy subscription. The connection worked well but this additional money grab via api tokens seems sketchy...
