    TLDR

On October 1, a user said ArtificialAnalysis’s top 25 had no open models, with MiMo at No. 26, Qwen at No. 28 and GLM 5.3 at No. 30. They suspect an open-source model will never reach the top 10 again.

@VictorTaelinwe now have no open models on the top 25 of ArtificialAnalysis the best is MiMo, at #26, followed by Qwen (#28) and GLM 5.3 (#30) I suspect OSS model will never be top 10 again :(
@teortaxesTexVictor has very strong opinions, loosely held. His forever is my “1-2 years” Open models ≈ Chinese models. Until this week we didn’t even have a reference training stack for the #1 Chinese NPU. This was all hobbyism on comically small amounts of compute. 2027-28 might be fun
@kylebrussellStill curious to see where GLM 5.5 lands
