Applied Compute introduces Shift-1 coding router
Shift-1 cut coding agent costs by up to 55% without a noticeable quality drop, Applied Compute says.
TLDR
Shift-1 uses a custom decision model trained with AC2, Applied Compute’s training and inference cloud for open models. The company says the model was trained on general coding and knowledge-work tasks and can be adapted to other workloads or underlying models. A research preview is available.
