A September 28 post says CMU researchers Jessica Mindel and Sijia Xie are presenting a qualitative study of online peer counselors’ preferences for AI simulation-based communication training. The linked ACM description says existing training systems make inconsistent choices about how skills are modeled, when feedback is given and how self-reflection is scaffolded.
