The Lanyon account says its tool simulated a high-energy copper projectile striking an elastoplastic plate and the resulting damage profile. It claims the discovered model matched the experimental value for effective plastic strain to within 5%. The account says model discovery, formal verification, software implementation and numerical simulation all took less than five minutes from a single prompt.
