NVIDIA introduces Minerva AIOps platform for AI-factory observability

NVIDIA announced Minerva on Oct. 22, pitching the AIOps platform as a way to give operators an end-to-end view of AI factories. The company says Minerva connects infrastructure and workload telemetry across GPUs, networking, storage and schedulers. It aims to use AI to surface root causes and reduce alert noise at factories with hundreds of thousands of GPUs.

In eWeek’s account of NVIDIA’s announcement, Minerva organizes telemetry into a dynamic knowledge graph linking GPUs, SuperNICs, switches, cables and the jobs running on them. NVIDIA says it can group related warnings into one incident with a likely root cause, so engineers have fewer alerts to investigate separately. eWeek also describes a natural-language assistant that recommends steps to operators, who can act manually or connect external systems to automate certain actions.

NVIDIA says Minerva can predict emerging failures and recommend fixes, but it has not published benchmarks establishing how accurately those capabilities work, . The outlet also says NVIDIA has not detailed the approval controls, rollback mechanisms or safeguards for automated changes to production infrastructure.
