OpenAI executives are pairing a rapid-growth boast with a warning that scaling strain could show up as short-term hiccups.
In a post on X, Sam Altman said OpenAI has reached "5.6 sol growth," praised the company's inference team for keeping up with demand, and warned that "there are some hiccups soon" as it keeps scaling. Soon after, OpenAI's Tibo Sottiaux posted on X that Codex and ChatGPT Work had reached 8 million active users, that usage limits were being reset again, and that the products still did not have a five-hour rate limit.
