Anthropic acquires one-person biotech Mithril Medicine

Cody Tranbarger, who previously posted anonymously as Prof Oak, says Anthropic acquired Mithril Medicine, the one-person biotech he founded to develop treatments for LAMA2-CMD and other ECM-related genetic diseases. He says Claude and part-time consultants helped him run Mithril, and that its programs will continue with more resources. At Anthropic, he hopes to explore how many drug-development programs one person can run at once.
