Anthropic rolls out Claude Personal Finance beta to US Pro, Max and Ultra subscribers

Anthropic’s Personal Finance feature was rolling out in beta to US subscribers on Claude’s Pro, Max and Ultra plans during the week of Nov. 5, Jess Weatherbed reported for The Verge. It connects bank and card accounts through Plaid. Users can ask where their money went in a month and get a breakdown of spending by category, or ask about bills before their next payday and whether they can afford a purchase.

The access is read-only, and Claude does not see banking passwords, The Verge reported. Anthropic says Claude cannot move, manage or invest users’ money and is not designed to give investment advice.

With a user’s permission, Claude can see bank and account names, account types, the last four digits of account numbers, balances, credit limits and up to two years of transaction history, according to The Verge.
