Anthropic's Claude Fable 5 reappears in AWS Bedrock documentation as active, signaling a potential return

To be clear: I personally *cannot* select it. Apparently, it is available to some in that they can select it in the model selector. And that also explains why it appears on Amazon Bedrock.

But if you were able to select it for a long time, please let me know. I don't want to spread fake news, so I'll gladly delete the post if this is incorrect.

@DanielleFong It's kinda amazing that butterflies became a symbol of Fable/Mythos, and that they fit so well, for a reason that's hard to articulate

@kimmonismus Clearly a lie, and cleverly disguised by not showing a model reply - because asking the model to reply shows "Fable 5 is currently unavailable" right after the loading state. Which makes them sharing a screenshot of only the loading state that much more dishonest.

The Bedrock docs showing "Active" is interesting but from a pricing perspective—if Fable 5 comes back, the question is whether Anthropic keeps the same pricing tier. Given that Opus 4.5 was priced 2x higher than 4.0 initially, I'd expect Fable 5 to sit at a premium tier. The real tell would be the max throughput limits on the Bedrock provisioning page. Any chance you've checked the provisioned throughput capacity section?
