Anthropic accused of security negligence and double standards on model distillation

Ben Horowitz called Anthropic “one of the most negligent companies” he’s seen on security, according to a post quoting him. He says his team used Opus 4.5 agents to build a test pet-store website, find a SQL injection flaw and exploit it. When they called Anthropic, he says the company replied, “You prompted it wrong.” He also accuses Anthropic of hypocrisy for criticizing model distillation.
