Skill++ rewrites new skill names and descriptions to improve AI agent routing
Skill++'s authors report that it selected every required skill for 76.3% of queries, versus 36.4% with original metadata.
TLDR
AI agents can choose skills by name and description alone, so a similar new skill can displace an older one. Skill++ rewrites each incoming skill's metadata to clarify what it supports and how it differs from the closest existing skill, without router training or labeled data. The authors tested a library growing to 731 skills over ten sessions and report gains across three benchmarks and five routers, with gains carrying over to the Codex CLI harness.
