I like the direction of Grok Build, but one thing gives me serious pause.

If project code and architecture are processed cloud-first on xAI servers rather than locally, that becomes a critical issue for innovative AI systems.

For normal prototyping, this may be acceptable.

But for projects where the core value is not just the code, but the architecture, reasoning logic, detection methods, internal concepts, and system design , sending that context to an external cloud environment becomes an intellectual property risk.

This is not an attack on xAI.

It is a serious security and ownership question for any AI coding agent.

If I am building a frontier AI safety system, runtime integrity engine, or original algorithmic architecture, I cannot treat the project context as disposable prompt data.

The code is not only code.

It is the map of the idea.

For tools like Grok Build to become trusted for serious innovation, local mode, private enterprise mode, strict no-training guarantees, transparent retention rules, and project-level data boundaries will matter a lot.

Cloud-first AI builders are powerful.

But for sensitive innovation, trust needs to be architectural - not only promised.
