Cerebras CS-4 Finishes Periodic Table Task in 4 Seconds
Cerebras CEO shares benchmark pitting CS-4 against GPU on element table generation.
TLDR
Andrew Feldman, founder and CEO of Cerebras Systems, posted that the company ran OpenAI's GPT-OSS on its CS-4 wafer-scale system. The task was to build the full periodic table of elements. Feldman states the CS-4 finished in 4 seconds while exceeding 4,000 tokens per second. The same workload on a GPU took more than 1 minute 40 seconds. He notes that in AI speed equals productivity and that Cerebras builds the fastest AI infrastructure. The post includes an attached 16.6-second video that opens with a dark purple CS-4 Speed A graphic.
