Grok Bot adds a Main Bot to coordinate other Bots

xAI’s October 2 Grok Bot changelog introduces a Main Bot: a primary Bot that users choose and that is marked with a star. According to the release notes, it checks in proactively and coordinates work with a user’s other Bots.

The feature arrives in Grok Bot v0.66.0, though xAI says it requires version 0.59.0 or later.

More visibility and recovery

The same release makes Grok Bot’s status line in Slack threads stay visible during longer steps, giving users a clearer view of what the Bot is working on.

xAI also lists several reliability fixes:

• Update downloads resume after a computer sleeps.
• A Bot stuck on an unresponsive command or computer stops with a note, then continues from the next user message.
• Phone notifications appear once per Bot reply and no longer arrive for deleted Bot chats.
• On a Mac, copies running from a disk image or Downloads offer to move into Applications.
