MIRI's "pivotal act" and downstream IABED culture is clearly Marxist-Leninist:
Capitalists are racing to (monopolize production, build AGI)
This leads to (global imperial war, human extinction) if left unchecked
The (working class, general public) won't spontaneously organize against this
Because (socialism, AI alignment) is a highly technical subject
Therefore, a (vanguard party, research lab) must act decisively on their behalf
To seize the means of (production, AI development)
Until we achieve a (classless society, transhumanist utopia)
