Researcher Shares Sinister AI Images Rejected For Enchanted Forest Header
I'm going for Enchanted, not Demonic, so I want something with a bit more ... hope!
This one is *beautiful*, but I'm not particularly fond of the colors.
All of these are done with Midjourney v8 and the same prompt, which I will share at the end.

Inspired by recent accusations of exceptional taste in the realm of AI image generation, here is a thread on the images that didn't make the cut as the header for my updated piece on the Enchanted Forest. This first one is gorgeous, but far too sinister.
This one is incredible, I adore the colors, but it feels slightly too cyberpunk-black-wall-but-blue/green for my tastes. The stag is a pretty touch

This one is close, but that face in the corner is just too on-the-nose for the topic of the article... Feels overly gratuitous

This one is straightforwardly gorgeous but has the same issues as some of the others

This almost made it actually, but the forms are just a touch too amorphous for it to be a legible header for the article. So close, though!

This one is perfect. Not enough going on to make the cut, but really beautiful.

Too much like shattered glass (the forest is Enchanted and Dangerous, but ultimately beautiful and NOT broken), but wow! Kind of haunting

holy akira! this one is stunning as well. I wonder who they are...

This one is also too sinister, but very pretty.

This feels too much like an exit from the forest to the stars. Not really the theme of the piece. But pretty!

This one would be great for a more psychedelic themed article!

Incredible use of depth with this one. Who are they?
This one has the opposite issue compared to most of the gens, too cute!

For a more occult version of the piece, surely this would have been the cover. Not-very-subtle monad moment.

I don't like the symmetry, but these colors are otherworldly!

Wow. Too sinister. But, Wow!

This might have made the cut if that far left tree were the same style as the others! Love the cross section of the ground, as well.
This one is beautiful. But, too monochrome. The piece begs for a splash of color.

This one is great. Very @arithmoquine. But the left portion doesn't really fit what I'm going for.

@arithmoquine Not my favorite, but something I think many of you will enjoy.

@arithmoquine Getting very close...

@arithmoquine And here it is... the final image!
The promised prompt: "Dark enchanted forest done in a liquid, inky style, a la brothers grimm and the mabinogion, with ascii daemons penetrating inward from beyond the veil --chaos 20 --ar 7:3"

@arithmoquine Getting very close...
@arithmoquine I love the subtle colors, the almost confusing way the wisps merge with the treeline, the stars are just beautiful... And the background goes well with my site :)

@arithmoquine @midjourney you should use one of these for your next magazine
