    TLDR

One AI user says their day-to-day work still relies on Opus 5, GPT-5.6 Sol and open models such as DS4, all made possible by a custom setup they call a “harness.” They say they rarely need Fable 5.1 or GPT-6 Astra, sometimes using them for long-running tasks or flashy demos.

@omarsar0It turns out I've been pacing for months. For day-to-day work, I still use a mix of Opus 5, GPT-5.6 Sol, and open models (e.g., DS4). All possible with my custom harness. I rarely need Fable 5.1 or GPT -6 Astra. Sometimes for long-running tasks or flashy demos. But that's it.
