CEO Shares Open Source Tool For AI Agent State Tracking
A suggestion on X about cleaner agent memory quickly turned into a link to an open source tool built for the same problem.
In a post on X, Will Depue argued that long-running AI goals are hard to track because "jumbled CoT summaries" are slow to read, and suggested a constantly updated summary document listing what happened, past issues and the current workflow. Soon after, a reply on X linked to Theorist on GitHub, described there as "A Codex/Claude skill that maintains per-repo operating theory documents."
codex team, understanding state on long running goals is really hard: i don’t know what’s going on, and it’s slow to read jumbled CoT summaries. instead, why not have a constantly updated “summary doc” that lists what’s happened, past issues, current workflow, etc for a goal
