Anyone ski the Montrose area after a good snowfall?

Not sure if we’ll actually get enough snow this weekend but I’m really hoping to get out for some XC skiing for the first time this winter. I’ve only ever gone on forest preserve trails and never along the lakefront. Does anyone know if the path around Montrose or Cricket Hill us
