Linux GPU Gaming Benchmarks on Bazzite | GamersNexus
GamersNexus has conducted an extensive benchmark of Linux GPU gaming performance using the Bazzite distribution. The tests revealed that while Linux gaming is improving, it still faces challenges such as crashes, freezes, and issues with anti-cheat software. AMD GPUs generally performed better than expected, with the RX 9070 XT outperforming the RTX 5070 Ti in several games. However, NVIDIA's RTX 5090 led in high-resolution gaming scenarios, though it suffered from inconsistent frame pacing. Ray tracing performance showed NVIDIA's advantage, but AMD and Intel GPUs also showed promise. The testing highlighted the rapid evolution of Linux gaming and the need for ongoing updates and adjustments.
