Out-of-state prohibitionist groups are using misleading tactics and dark money to repeal marijuana legalization in three states. In Massachusetts, a political action committee funded a repeal effort with $2 million, while in Maine, signature gatherers confused voters. NORML urges supporters to donate and mobilize to protect legalization laws.
In Massachusetts, a recently released poll determined that nearly half of voters who signed the repeal petition “say they were misled by the anti-cannabis campaign’s signature collectors.”
