- slimborama, on 03/01/2008, -5/+791look how genuinely sad he is. he's not like one of those brats on Sweet-16, all mad and angry. he's just genuinely devastated.
poor kid. good job on edgadget if they can hook him up. - TimmyGUNZ, on 03/01/2008, -10/+624Wow, that is beyond ***** up. Poor kid. My heart goes out to him.
- LaSepultura, on 03/01/2008, -8/+595Justin, we can't afford an Xbox360. $279.99 is the food bill this week just for your gigantic mom.
- Samurai77, on 03/01/2008, -9/+588If that wasn't a "I'm going to kill you when I get older" look I don't know what is. LOL
Poor kid:( that was mean. - emgeller, on 03/01/2008, -7/+532This is like the time I gave my grandfather sweater box with an xbox inside. He also cried.
- DRGinLBC, on 03/01/2008, -10/+504How do you break your own child's heart and laugh AT him in the process? Karma, bitch.
- mugicha, on 03/01/2008, -6/+404That was terrible. You get to see this kid go from totally excited to completely devastated. And I think the devastation isn't just that he realized he's not really getting an Xbox. I think it's also that he realized how cruel his family was being. ***** his parents.
- LaSepultura, on 03/01/2008, -8/+392Achievement Unlocked
Worst Parent In The World - CajoleJuice, on 03/01/2008, -4/+324Even though this is old, dugg because Ryan Block said he'd send the kid a 360. Here's to hoping the kid finds out.
- Raptor007, on 03/01/2008, -5/+305Wow, his parents are sadistic bitches. Who the hell said "look at the camera and cry"??
This poor kid is going to have serious issues growing up in such an awful family. - N3tw0rk, on 03/01/2008, -5/+280Did you see that little boy fighting back the tears as his family was laughing at him? That made me sad.
I hope this story has a happy ending. - gegroff, on 03/01/2008, -6/+264Breaking on Fox news: Kid kills family because of video games.
- PushEject, on 03/01/2008, -6/+230Engadget offering to buy him an Xbox is the real story; kick ass guys!
- snackalacka, on 03/01/2008, -5/+194dugg so that this kid can be found and receive his Xbox. p.s. Engadget you're awesome.
- zephyr42, on 03/01/2008, -3/+172His hair on the other hand is *amazing*.
- receev, on 03/01/2008, -1/+159Well at least she doesn't need to pay for a car because she can roll to work.
- Brownye, on 03/01/2008, -1/+134He kind of looks like Huey from the Boondocks.
- inactive, on 03/01/2008, -3/+131I'm apprehensive about them sending him one. I can honestly see his parents selling it for cash if they're as cruel and ***** up as this.
- mjfarina, on 03/01/2008, -11/+109I'm sure that kid will return the favor by gunning me down in a shopping mall some day. Haha, you parents...you're real funny! Thanks dicklickers!
- strikerK, on 03/01/2008, -11/+97It's all part of their plan. The whole thing is staged and put online so someone would see it, feel sorry, and buy him a 360.
- DontEatTheFish, on 03/01/2008, -2/+86older? with the look that he gave I would be surprised if his parents are still alive right now...
- JonTheGoose, on 03/01/2008, -0/+78Send the mother a Big Mac box with broccoli inside and see how she feels.
- inactive, on 03/01/2008, -2/+80hey here's a fun idea for a video, tell them their little kid committed suicide over it, then at the funeral tell them to open the casket, and it'll be full of sweaters!!! haw haw haw!!!
- inactive, on 03/01/2008, -4/+81Over a video-game? Way to make us all look bad, *****.
- catfuds, on 03/01/2008, -4/+75Dugg to shame the parents.
Just mean behaviour by any standards. - Itsmiguel, on 03/01/2008, -4/+70Please help Engadget find this kid if you have the know how. Those people make me sick...
- CaptainTater, on 03/01/2008, -2/+68Is there a number I can reach him at? I'd like to buy him a sweater.
- br0wnstar, on 03/01/2008, -1/+67This comment definitely cheered me up after being heartbroken by that video. For that, you have been dugg.
- rz8472, on 03/01/2008, -1/+66Stupid parents. You're supposed to drag their hopes down by making it look like the gift was a sweater, only to surprise them with an XBox 360, NOT the other way around!!
- inactive, on 03/01/2008, -4/+68This is honestly one of the most difficult things I've had to watch in a long time. I thought it would be a laugh, but his family's actions amount to nothing more than pure sadism. You can see the crushing disappointment on his face, no matter how hard he tries to hide it. It nearly made me cry :-(
- computershack, on 03/01/2008, -5/+65Perhaps if the fat bitch of a mother stopped shovelling most of the homes income down her fat throat which judging by the size of her gut and arse is what she does they might have enough money to buy one.
Poor kid born into a family of worthless scum. - parax, on 03/01/2008, -2/+57It's just as sad. Even if he ends up with an Xbox 360, he still has to live his life knowing his parents will crush him emotionally for their own amusement. It's like getting down on your knee and asking your girlfriend "Will you?" pushing forward a small black box. Inside there's a note that says "Let me sleep with your sister?"
Even if you give her a ring several months later, assuming she hasn't stabbed you to death in your sleep, it's unlikely your relationship is going to ever be on the same level again.
Of course you have to wonder. Is this the worst thing they've ever done to him? They've had 2 full months since Christmas to come up with other clever pranks. - AussieFox, on 03/01/2008, -5/+58They she her rollin', they hatin'?
- inactive, on 03/01/2008, -3/+55We did the opposite for my friend. His borther had recently committed suicide and for Christmas we all pitched together and bought him an Xbox 360 - put inside an ALL IN ONE Aquarium box and then inside an Office Chair box. Haha great times, the look on his face when he unwrapped an office chair is priceless.
- inactive, on 03/01/2008, -7/+59Dugg for being ***** hilarious.
- AoiTakuma, on 03/01/2008, -2/+53definitely right. hes not pissed because his parents could afford it and just didnt get it. he knows that his parents cant afford it, and when he saw the box he immediately thought "wow they did some amazing things to get me the one thing that i really wanted for christmas" and then...shirts. He's not even crying, hes just in disbelief.
i feel bad for this kid. i watched the last half of the video going "Awww.... that sucks" over and over.
Its cool that engadget is helping him out though. - Zarokima, on 03/01/2008, -4/+53A true prank will result in laughter from all parties involved -- maybe not immediately, but within a few seconds. This was not a prank; it was a jackass move by a family excreting ungodly amounts of douchebaggery.
- ElPachuco, on 03/01/2008, -2/+50We're digging this up so people can see what douchebags his parents are and so someone can see the article and tell them that Ryan will get get him a 360.
- offspring06, on 03/01/2008, -11/+59Than they pawn it to buy crack.
- overkilpro, on 03/01/2008, -2/+48*looks left* *looks right* where are all the grammer nazis that are going crazy because you used 3 pronouns in a row?
- joebaloney, on 03/01/2008, -0/+42Not only did they screw the kid. When he's sitting there crying, do they give him a hug or try to make him feel better? No, they get up and walk past him... I can't imagine doing that to my son. The kid didn't raise much of a fuss either... I wonder why that is? I think I know.
- Chompy, on 03/01/2008, -0/+38RTFA
- wellyuk, on 03/01/2008, -3/+40My^H^HHis address is as follows....
- AceyS, on 03/01/2008, -0/+36Without actually having any video games to play.
- MaverickC17, on 03/01/2008, -2/+37Yeah, but his fat ass parents will probably sell it for crack.
- legendxx, on 03/01/2008, -3/+37You think people are going to watch this and laugh at the kid? What the ***** is wrong with you.
- NewGTGuy, on 03/01/2008, -4/+38Get off of your mom's computer. It's nap time!
- BryanJK, on 03/01/2008, -2/+35wonderful
- sterntastic223, on 03/01/2008, -4/+37This is like when my boss says I can get off early and then keeps me an hour past when I normally leave.
- Hayaemsay, on 03/01/2008, -6/+39Look mum, a troll!
