- Falldog, on 03/25/2008, -6/+343Microsoft effectively dumped ice water on a lot of e-penis's.
- slicecom, on 03/25/2008, -4/+329If you care about your gamerscore enough to find ways to artificially inflate it, you fail at life.
- seanm, on 03/25/2008, -3/+311Ouch, StripClubDj (former #1 guy) now has 0 points.
- DrDragun, on 03/25/2008, -1/+249I felt a great disturbance in the Net, as if millions of cracking preteen voices suddenly cried out in terror and were silenced.
- truspector, on 03/25/2008, -5/+165Finally, while I don't really "care" about my gamerscore, I was sick of these cheaters manipulating their way to the top. On a side note, didn't stripclubdj recently try to sell his gamercard on ebay?
- bubbakja, on 03/25/2008, -5/+156"What's better is he can't earn any of those achievements back, even the legit way. Since he had nearly every achievement for every game in every language, that means he's hosed until new games come out."
- Fixed - UnnDunn, on 03/25/2008, -12/+150What's worse is he can't earn any of those achievements back, even the legit way. Since he had nearly every achievement for every game in every language, that means he's hosed until new games come out.
- theaceoffire, on 03/25/2008, -0/+117Seems worse than just banning him... now he has to live with it or leave it.
- shibainu, on 03/25/2008, -13/+105who cares. just fix my third broken xbox already
- bejayel, on 03/25/2008, -3/+70Hope everyone around him in the next few hours is wearing a kevlar body suit

Ouch - Conwaysb0718, on 03/25/2008, -2/+62Sadly, it took me a couple readings to find your fix. I knew this systems training was taking its toll on the ol' bean.
- Jam20621, on 03/25/2008, -1/+58I'm pretty sure that that subtitle is all that will really be on their profile. "Cheater McCheat" is just a nickname genius
- morguth, on 03/25/2008, -0/+56Hence the whole, leave it part at the end of the sentence.
- Intangible360, on 03/25/2008, -3/+57Clearly you are incorrect considering the lengths people apparently go to to get gamerscore. What Microsoft has done is to add meaning back into the points and to untarnish it, the idea of giving away money(MSP) or prizes is ridiculous anyway. Gamerscore and achievements are one area that journalists seem to universally agree was an incredibly ingenious move by Microsoft.
- BobsYourUncle, on 03/25/2008, -2/+55All I want to do is finish Mile High Club. I hate that achievement with every fiber in my being. It just sits there, greyed out, mocking me.
- Nobi-Wan, on 03/25/2008, -1/+52Holy *****. Do you know what a period is? Or even how to spell for that matter?
- Nathrat, on 03/25/2008, -2/+52...said the cheater

Gamerscore Correction
Posted: Mar 25 2008, 02:01 AM by Major Nelson
I wanted to follow up and let you know where we are on the post I made a few months ago on Gamesave Tampering. ( http://majornelson.com/archive/2007/10/30/Xbox-LIV ... ) Today we took action on some of the accounts we have identified as the most serious offenders who have violated the Xbox LIVE Terms of Use ( http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/legal/legal-tou.htm ) by tampering with their Gamerscore and Achievements.
The steps today takes the form of the following:
• Resetting the entire Gamerscore for an account to zero
• The account will be unable to regain all previously obtained achievements and Gamerscore, however, the players will have the ability to gain future Achievements by earning them fairly, like the majority of the Xbox LIVE community does.
• The account will be clearly labeled as a cheater for the community to view on xbox.com. You can see an example here ( http://live.xbox.com/en-US/profile/profile.aspx?pp ... ). In dash, the personal view of the gamercard will be labeled as well.
Xbox LIVE remains committed to keeping the service free of cheating in order to maintain a fair and level playing field for everyone.
To read more about Gamerscore corrections read the FAQ on Xbox.com ( http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox36 ... )
Edit: Added link directly to our internal test account Gamercard ( http://live.xbox.com/en-US/profile/profile.aspx?pp ... ) that shows the cheater section. - Duositex, on 03/25/2008, -3/+48Did anyone expect a Strip Club D.J. to be faithful?
- BobsYourUncle, on 03/25/2008, -0/+42No, but I can say Terms of Service. It's always in the fine print.
- Nick22, on 03/25/2008, -2/+44"what" he's" saying is that he doesnt care about "his" "gamerscore" very "much", but he finds it "annoying" that people "cheat" to get to the "top"
I "overuse" quotation "marks"
"" - toddomatic, on 05/20/2008, -1/+38What are the "external cheating tools" that Microsoft frowns upon? Does anyone have any insight on how they cheat?
- inactive, on 03/25/2008, -3/+38That didn't hurt me one bit.
- bazimo, on 03/25/2008, -0/+32Boy, even his XBOX knew he was cheating (check entries for 2/14 & 2/13):
http://www.360voice.com/blog-archive.asp?tag=Strip ... - theaceoffire, on 03/25/2008, -0/+30Although if they put Chester Cheetah for your account picture, that would rock.
- jbrown101st, on 03/25/2008, -5/+35I sense a douche bag.
- whitlock11111, on 03/25/2008, -1/+30I was vaguely aware of StripClubDJ as the worldwide leader in gamerscore and I also was aware that he cheated. If they are able to reset the majority of cheaters it might be interesting to see what nerd has amassed the most achievement points legitimately.
- TheVigilante, on 03/25/2008, -5/+34This is a statement I can get behind!
I have a gamerscore of 3140 and have had my Xbox 360 since October 2007... - nickj6282, on 03/25/2008, -2/+30http://i26.tinypic.com/24g4lfo.jpg
- stutimandal, on 03/25/2008, -0/+28People cannot be honest, even on game boards; real life is worse.
- dsmatrix, on 03/25/2008, -1/+26Well said.
- piper999, on 03/25/2008, -2/+26I got Contra for free courtesy of Old Spice for upping my gamerscore by 1500 points. They should do more of that thing as far as I'm concerned.
- logicalnoise, on 03/25/2008, -1/+25they are not exactly meaningless. The good ones give you extra challenges to complete with proof that you completed them and some others do in fact unlock content(though not directly).
- theaceoffire, on 03/25/2008, -0/+23O.o guess that means he just got one hell of a circumcision.
- Chompy, on 03/25/2008, -0/+23nevermore
- MRintheKeys, on 03/25/2008, -0/+23To join the legitimate Mile High Club is a real achievement.
- allahuakbar, on 03/25/2008, -4/+24Because he's a loser.
- GSnake, on 03/25/2008, -0/+20Cheaters should be dealt with accordingly, I'm glad Microsoft took this action, it will act as a deterrent in the future hopefully.
It's pretty pathetic that people have to cheat and exploit video game systems in order to earn fictional video game points, at least we know who's definitely not getting laid in this world. - xyqxyq, on 03/25/2008, -2/+21That's a terrible thought, but I had to digg you up.
- exomni, on 03/25/2008, -6/+25Major's website = fail.
- Conwaysb0718, on 03/25/2008, -1/+19i thought the purpose of cheating was to win at all costs.
- Jakyll, on 03/25/2008, -1/+19So you mean if I choose "12InchLoveTool" as a user name, it suddenly becomes true? Sweet.
/s - truspector, on 03/25/2008, -0/+18http://gamercard.xbox.com/truspector.card
Replace my name with any name to instantly see someone's card without a live account. - theaceoffire, on 03/25/2008, -2/+19Any way to see it without getting an account?
- MRintheKeys, on 03/25/2008, -1/+18The Force is strong with this one....
- whyufail, on 03/25/2008, -1/+17Microsoft tracks EVERYTHING on Live. No really, EVERYTHING. How many kills in each game, how many times you opened a freaking door, how long you play on average each session for each game, everything. They go ***** on the statistical data harvesting. I'm sure there are plenty of ways to see if something was horribly abused or not.
- SkorpionOH, on 03/25/2008, -1/+17I am hereby resetting your GRAMMER score to 0
- bulletproofbra, on 03/25/2008, -1/+16Yeah, in fact I confidently expect StripClubDj to be a 13-year-old arse-faced weasel. :)
- inactive, on 03/25/2008, -2/+16similar complaint about xboxs breaking often
